Are you new to heat treating and/or Thermex Metal Treating?

Don't worry! Our team is happy to help you out with any questions and direct you to the most appropriate heat treating process.

What is heat treating?

Heat treating is best defined as various industrial metalworking processes that alter the physical, and chemical properties of a metal.  Depending on the process, Thermex will take your finished or near finished machined parts, heat them up and cool them in order to help achieve the desired internal structure properties.  This means that heat treating can modify the brittleness, hardness and softness of a material.

What materials does Thermex work with?  Thermex works specifically with steel and steel based alloys.  This means that we are not able to treat materials such as aluminum.

Where do I start?

Thermex is happy to walk you through any of our processes that meet your heat treating needs, please feel free to call, get a quote or contact us at any time.
